Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment

Country Programme Strategy is a document that will mainly guide the relevant stakeholders to develop and implement environment friendly projects emphasizing nature-based solutions that will have global impacts. Therefore, the CPS is itself a communication strategy.

Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples

During landscapes selection emphasis will be given to select the degraded and important landscapes where the indigenous people are dependent on these landscapes directly or indirectly

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods

Emphasizing the characteristics of the selected landscapes, ecosystem-based suitable livelihoods will be suggested to consider during the project implementation

Inovative Financial Mechanisms

The CPS is itself knowledge management strategy by nature.

Linkages gef projects

The CPS will also have direction regarding the linkages with GEF large projects.

Project sustainability

The CPS will have clear direction regarding sustainability of SGP projects

Gender Focus

The Country Programme Strategy will address the gender equality during the project selection specially giving priority pf women.

Policy Impact

The Country Programme Strategy will be developed emphasizing the policies related to nature, environment, biodiversity and other relevant policies of SGP focal area.

Policy Influence

The Country Programme Strategy will have numerous policy recommendations related to SGP focal areas.

Planning gef grant

The SGP will also direct regarding scale up and replication of SGP projects

Capacity - Building Component

The grantee has vast experience in the field of policy formulation. Therefore, additional support or activities may not require for this purpose.

Notable Community Participation

Youths will be involved during stakeholders consultations and their suggestions will be incorporated in the country programme strategy
