Mdluli Cultural Centre: Community eco-tourism
? The primary objective of this initiative is therefore to develop the Mdluli Cultural Centre at Numbi Gate as a tourist destination offering distinctive tourism packages that complement visitor demand to the Kruger National Park. Specifically, the venture aims to boost:
? Job creation ? The tourism infrastructure development projects are expected to create permanent and seasonal jobs for community members who have limited prospects for formal employment and have been economically excluded in the previous dispensation.
? Economic growth ? the promotion of international and domestic tourism to these tourism facilities is expected to trigger economic activity for sustainable economic growth.
? Creation of a tourism ecosystem ? the collaboration and partnerships that result from the use of the facilities will likely catalyse an ecosystem that will benefit local
? Provision of alternative accommodation to local and international travellers through our uniquely styled community project at an affordable rate
