Hisekelani Community Cleaning Project
- to coordinate and lead clean-up campaigns in the various villages and areas of Giyani.
- To save the material pickers of these 8 towns the time and costs
associated with the collection and baling of their material since
all of these activities will be carriedout at the material collection
point where the material pickers are operating from.
2. Another equally important objective is that since the normal
municipality services of waste removal from the households are
virtually non-existence in the country?s villages and townships,
the waste which is created at these 8 towns bordering the Park
end up in the many rivers which flow into the Park.
3. By constantly having to collect the recyclables in these areas it
reduces the pollutants in the waste which disrupt the pH balance
of the water, the nutrient content, and even temperature
causing large ripple effect on the plant and animals ecosystem
beneath. Some of the materials can even enter animal water
drinking streams leading into health hazards for the animals
