Through a special ceremony organized on May 24 2013, UNDP Liberia celebrated SGP grantee partner West Africa Initiative of Liberia (WAIOL), as winner of 2012 Equator Initiative Award. SGP Liberia has supported project “Biodiversity Conservation in the Dublin area, Bong County” implemented by WAIOL, thus becoming one of the partners that have supported WAIOL on successfully introducing honey bee farming and production, on reducing human pressure on the environment and encouraging communities to embark on sustainable economic activities.
